Meet D

Healing isn't linear.

It's lived. Earned.

Questioned.

Rebuilt.

Food: The most powerful lever in my healing

I've lived with chronic illness and complex symptoms nearly my entire life.

As a child, I experienced unexplained stomach pains, and early migraine.

At 19 yrs old, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and told I would be in a wheelchair at 30.

By 29, I was the sickest I had ever been.

On permenant leave from work.
Unable to dress myself.
Unable to drive.
Walking with a cane.

I BELIEVE IN

• Evidence-based care • Whole-person healing • Accessible movement • Nourishment without fear • Curiosity over judgment • Support that meets you where you are

If you are here - you are not broken.

You’re learning to listen. And you don’t have to do that alone.

This Is Where Everything Changed

Determined to get my life back, I immersed myself into research.

I navigated traditional medical care with lifestyle medicine - nutrition, then movement, meditation and nervous system support.

My symptoms - softened.
My quality of life returned.

And YET - deeper questions surfaced...

Why weren't my care teams talking about nutrition?
Why was their no nervous system support for chronic illness?
How were herbs + supplements that were evidence-based being dismissed?

My care was fragmented, disconnected—and I was left feeling invisible.

Discovering Integrative Medicine

Years later, I was working as a DoD contractor leading a resiliency program, supporting a project to launch an integrative care center for military members and their family.

A colleague handed me Full Catastrophe of Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

And suddenly, everything changed.

Integrative Medicine – person centered care – was the language my body had been whispering.

This is what I had needed all along.

Education + Credentials

I left my career as a formal educator and pursued my graduate studies in Integrative Medicine at George Washington University and graduated in 2020.

I chose to specialize in Nutrition - because nothing had influence my physiology, inflammation, and resilience more profoundly.

Historically, healthcare professionals received little to no training in Nutrition. Yet thousands of studies show Lifestyle Medicine - especially Nutrition - has one of the strongest impact on health outcomes and longevity.

This shift is happening.

But access and support still lag behind.

Today, I work at the intersection of Clinical Nutrition, self-care, and education - especially within the chronic illness community.
